Nandotsav & Vyasa Puja Festival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nandotsav is celebrated the day after Janmashtami to rejoice in the divine birth of Lord Krishna. It is believed that all the villagers of Braj visited Nanda Maharaja\u2019s house to see the newborn Krishna and to offer their heartfelt congratulations. Nanda Baba generously distributed gifts, cattle, ornaments, and clothes to saints and sages, who blessed baby Krishna in return.

This auspicious day also marks the appearance of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of ISKCON. Born on Nandotsav in 1896, Srila Prabhupada is the 32nd acharya in the disciplic succession descending from Vyasadeva.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
